Web writing. Advice on how to write for the Web. The article recommends a brief and vivid writing style, including the following advice:

Kathy Henning's version: "Delete every unnecessary word. As author Crawford Kilian says in a recent article about Web writing, 'Every word and phrase should have to fight for its life.'"
My version: "Delete unnecessary words."

Henning's advice is similar to Jakob Nielsen's (full study) but put more emphasis on the words in a text as opposed to how the words are presented.
